A week ago Friday there was a Google core algorithm update that touched down pretty hard. Technically it was released on March 7th but most noticed it on March 8th and 9th. But people are still noticing it.
The ongoing WebmasterWorld thread has a ton of chatter still about the update. Some are saying they benefited and some are saying they got hurt badly, while of course others didn’t notice any thing at all. But the thing is, some have said they saw recoveries already from this update.
Some SEOs say they saw a rollback. I find it a bit hard to believe. I mean, it is 100% possible and probably likely that Google is tweaking stuff with this core update based on some early feedback. But what is more likely is that it is still rolling out and thus it takes some time for everyone to notice the changes and for the changes to this algorithm update to be fully rolled out.
Here are some comments over the weekend from the WebmasterWorld thread:
Most of those tracking tools have been showing pretty high temperatures over the past 10 days.
I’d think this is Google’s new core algorithm still rolling out and also some necessary tweaks here and there by some Google engineers as the feedback from their tests come in.
What are you seeing?
