Today on Google.com is a special Google logo, Doodle, for writer James Welch. Today would be his 76th birthday and Google wanted to highlight his writing contributions.
This Doodle highlights his work on Fools Crow, the story of the Blackfeet people during the period of post-civil war encroachment by Europeans. The Doodle was designed by artist, Sophie Diao. Here is what Google said about it:
