This morning I woke up to dozens of reverification notices from Google Search Console for dozens of different profiles. Many of them said “New owner for” a specific domain and went on to explain they verified a new owner:

Google is aware of this and John Mueller posted on Twitter that the email notifications are just a bug and there is no need to panic. He said just double check everything is okay by logging in and checking which users have access to your site.
