Today on Google’s home page, on the first day of Black History month is a special Google logo, aka Doodle, with Frederick Douglass on it. Frederick Douglass was born in February, the date is not known, but in 1818. He was one of the most important figures in American history, specifically around social reform and human suffrage.

Google said in regards to today’s Doodle:

Most of those in the US know his history, for those who do not, see Wikipedia.

Google also posted on their blog about Black History month.
