There is a massive thread in the Google Web Search Help forum with hundreds of complaints from Internet Explorer users. The complaint basically says that they cannot effectively go to Google and conduct a search.

They would enter in a query, hit enter, and nothing would happen.

The first set of reports came in last Wednesday, October 28th:

Hundreds of posts later, AJ from Google chimed in saying that Google has pushed out a fix for this. AJ wrote yesterday afternoon:

As of this morning, it seems that Google fixed the issue. I am seeing people in the thread thanking Google for fixing it. It is hard to say how many searchers this impacted but by the size of the thread, I’d be surprised if it wasn’t tens of thousands of searchers.
