Google Fixes "Invalid Country" Google Places Bulk Upload Issue

Google PlacesOn April 21st, we linked to a Google Places country bug where some people who were uploading locations in bulk to Google Places were receiving an “invalid country” bug.

The first report came as early as April 14th from a user who said:

Google finally fixed the issue but those who received these errors do need to take action.

Google’s ShirleyQ said yesterday that in order to get your data uploaded to Google Places, you need to take the following steps:

Download your current data file so you have it on hand
Remove all data files from your account
Upload a new data file, the file that you just downloaded.

If this does not work for you, Google asks you post the issue in the thread.
