The White House is eager for the investigationofJoeBiden’smishandlingofclassifieddocumentsfromhis time as vice president and in the Senate to conclude.
While it isreported Special Counsel Robert Hur’s investigation is coming to an end and is unlikely to include criminal charges, the HouseCommitteeonOversightand Accountability’s inquiry is accelerating. This investigation is anything but closed.
TheOversightCommitteehas obtained information that contradicts important detailsfromthe White House’s and PresidentBiden’s personal attorney’s statements about the discoveryofdocumentsat PennBidenCenter, including the location and securityoftheclassifieddocuments.

According to theBidenteam,documentswere discovered at PennBidenCenter on Nov. 2, 2022. However, based on our investigation, thereal timeline began 18 months earlier. PresidentBidenused significant federalresources, including five White House employees and a DepartmentofDefense employee, to access and secure what were purportedly personal itemsofhis at PennBidenCenter.

On March 18, 2021, a top White House aide was tasked with going to PennBidenCenter to take inventoryofBiden’sdocumentsand materials. Following this initial inventory, on May 24, 2022, then-White House Counsel DanaRemus contacted Kathy Chung, a DepartmentofDefense employee, on her personal email tasking her with theretrievalofBiden’sdocumentsand materials.
Coincidence or not, this is the same day as the FBI’s subpoenareturn date for former President Donald Trump’sdocumentsat Mar-a-Lago. We have also identified five other significant encounters at PennBidenCenterfromJune through October 2022 involving White House aides and Biden’s personal attorneys.
VideoThe White House asserted in its public statement earlier this year that theclassifieddocumentswere found in a “locked closet” at PennBidenCenter. However, based on witness testimony, the boxesofclassifieddocumentswere not always held in a locked closet. This improper storageofclassifiedmaterials raises significant concerns that individuals without proper clearances may have had access to them.
Based on our investigationoftheBidenfamily’s global influence-peddling enterprise, we also have significant concerns that Bidenmay haveretained sensitivedocumentsrelated to specific countries involving his family’s foreign business schemes that brought in millions for theBidenfamily.

Based on witness testimony, then-Vice President JoeBidenspoke with HunterBiden’s business associates by phone at least 20 times, dined with foreign oligarchs and a Burisma executive who collectively wired millions to theBidens, and had coffee with HunterBiden’s Chinese business partner in Beijing.

VideoThe HouseOversightCommitteealso has traced bankrecordsrevealing that JoeBidenreceived $40,000 in proceedsfromChina in the formofa personal checkfromhis brother,JamesBidenand sister-in-law, SaraBiden. Even if this check was loanrepaymentfromJamesBidenas the White House asserts, it still shows how JoeBidenbenefitedfromhis family cashing in on his name – with moneyfromChina no less.
PresidentBiden’sretentionofcertainclassifieddocumentsbegs the question as to why he kept these particular materials.Ofthe manyclassifieddocumentshereviewed over his lengthy career, why did hekeep these specificdocumentsin his home andoffice? The sensitive natureofthe information contained in thedocumentsmay answer that question and shed light on the extent to which our national security has been compromised.
We have called on Special Counsel Hur to allow ourcommitteeinvestigators toreview theclassifiedmaterials, but he has declined. But that is not deterring our ongoing investigation.

Over the past two weeks, I haverequested depositions and interviews with nearly two dozen witnesses, including membersoftheBidenfamily, their associates, and current and former White Houseofficials.
PresidentBiden’smishandlingofclassifiedmaterial and his involvement in his family’s business schemes threaten our national security. We owe it to the American people to determine whether Bidenused theseclassifieddocumentsto enrich his family, placing our nation in even greater jeopardy.
If anyone other than JoeBidenhadclassifieddocumentsin their home, garage and personaloffice, they would face criminal chargesfromthe DepartmentofJustice. In fact, when I viewed the FBI’s unclassified FD-1023 form alleging JoeBidenengaged in an extortion and bribery scheme when he was vice president, the FBI forcedOversightCommitteemembers and staff to examine it in a room designed forreviewingclassifiedmaterials. We also could not have a copyofthe unclassified document or take our notes outofthe facility.
