Microsoft has been doing these interviews with technology news sites to try to create some buzz around their search engine, Bing. They did one at The Verge and a few others like AllThingsD.

Here is one snippet from the article I wanted to highlight:

The winner of search is determined by who builds a better anticipatory search engine? Would you argue with that?

What does it mean by “anticipatory”? A search engine that knows enough about the searcher to know what they really are looking for as the searcher starts typing. Not on an aggregate but on a more personal level.

Of course, search is very well in that direction but it has a long way to go.
