The other week, we reported that Google was showing emojis in the AdWords results. Well, Google said it was still against their terms of service and removed those ads from the search ad results. But this morning, @ClarkBoyd spotted more AdWords ads with emojis and I was able to replicate it myself.
The query is [hudson ny weekend] – actually right near me – and it comes up, sometimes, with a hotel emoji in the search result title tag. Here is a screen shot:
Again, this is not allowed and I am surprised Google AdWords can’t figure out how to block this automatically?
Truth is, I do like emojis in title tags but if it is not allowed, then why let them through?
