An app developer notified Google on Twitter that the ability to associate your app to a domain in Google Search Console does not work if the domain name has a hyphen in it.

This developer was trying to do so and received an error that the format of the domain name does not work. Here is a picture:

Google actually responded on Twitter saying “Hey Gatien, thanks for letting us know. We’ve escalated this to the engineers and will let you know.”

I am not sure when this will be resolved, but I doubt this is the first time Google has heard of this technical issue?
