Google is always testing new search results user interfaces, here is yet another test I’ve been noticing being reported over the past few days. Google is using a black URL or breadcrumb above the title in the search results snippet.
I believe this was seen on both Android and iOS devices, one I think was using Chrome on Android and the other was using Safari on an iPhone. Here are screen shots from @nick_agel and @JJPattersonSEO:
Again, Google is constantly testing small changes like this. I don’t see Google rolling out this design because, at least to me, I personally find it way less appealing.
