Today on the Google home page is a special Google logo, aka Doodle for the 95th birthday of Yuri Kochiyama.
Yuri Kochiyama was an activist who fought for African American, Latino, and Asian American liberation and empowerment. The Doodle itself shows Yuri Kochiyama at one of the many protests being a leader and guiding the protest.
She was born in the US, in San Pedro, California on May 19, 1921. She spent three years, after her father’s death in the War Relocation Authority internment camp at Jerome, Arkansas. After, she moved to Harlem with her husband and six kids.
