Google’s Gary Illyes issued a PSA (public service announcement) on Twitter last night that basically warned content within a javascript array that only when expanded when you click e.g. “…”, won’t be indexed by Google. Here is the tweet:
This goes back to what we covered a ton of the past year or so. Here are those topics:
Google: We Won’t Index Dynamic Content Behind Tabs
More From Google On Hidden Content Within Tabs & Expand All
Google Not Crawling “Click To Expand” Content Now?
Google: Your Content In Tabs & Click To Expand May Not Be Indexed Or Ranked
Google: display:none May Backfire; Google Weighs It Less
Google: If Your Hidden Content Is Relevant To Users, Don’t Hide It From Them.
So not much new here but for some reason, Gary felt to send out that PSA.
