Perfect timing, I am headed to Israel soon and I can get my Google Maps for iPhone fix in the native languages there. I can get it in Hebrew or Arabic, I can read Hebrew but not Arabic – but I’d prefer English anyway.
Google announced the update on Google+ saying, “!שלום!“ & ”مرحبا”
The preferred mobile mapping app in Israel is Waze, which Google acquired. I suspect a lot of this support came from that team and I wonder if the directions are as good as Waze now? Israeli’s let me know.
Other features include faster access to navigation, complete with route and traffic overview and a new tips and tricks available in the side menu. Oh, and a bunch of bug fixes.
