A Google Maps Help thread has some complaints from Google Maps Navigation users that the accent or pronunciation Google uses for arriving at your destination sounds like “dest-o-nation” instead of “destination.”

Edward, a Google Maps user, asked in the forum thread:

Julia from New York City said that it depends on where you are. If you are in the north east, Google Maps will prononce it as destination, whereas if you are in some other locations, Google Maps may pronounce it as dest-o-nation. She wrote:
