A few days ago Peter Sciretta, the Owner/Editor of slashfilm.com, a movie blog, tweeted that many movie blogs so a significant drop in Google traffic this month. The interesting part is that Google’s Matt Cutts responded saying “@slashfilm I hope to dig into this soon. Sorry it’s been a few days.”

When you look at slashfilm.com’s search traffic from SearchMetrics you see a huge drop, confirming what the owner of SlashFilms said:

Is there something wrong with Google’s algorithm and search results? Is slashfilm.com doing unnatural link building or were they hit by a penalty or algorithm recently? Or it is just a bug in the search results. Heck, he did say it is many movie blogs, not just them.
