Google has a pro version of My Maps named My Maps Pro. That version gave you more features and access to make your own maps but cost $5 per month.
Google sent emails to My Maps Pro users that it is now going free. Google said “My Maps Pro will soon be available for free.” They will stop charging these users, but support will go away and only be handled in the forums.
