It should be of no surprise to our reader or anyone who has a business listing on Google Maps/Places/Local that the Google Places Dashboard has issues and bugs.
It is one of the most consistent complaints from business owners who interact with Google.
But I love it when Googlers speak the truth about their own products. Jade Wang, a Google Maps representative, responded to a complaint in the Google Business Help forums about the Google Places Dashboard analytics being off.
Jade responded saying that the analytics in the Google Places for Business dashboard is a “bit fickle” right now.
Jade wrote:
True, for me, the reports spin and spin as if they are loading and do not load. Some are saying it shows them they have zero impressions.
So I guess check back in a couple weeks and hopefully they will be fixed.
