Google announced a new ad unit for Google Play Music. Google now has an ad-supported version in the U.S., bringing free music to users and providing way for artists to earn revenue via ads.

Google said:

Google has been testing this with a select number of artists and so far so good.

This is only available in the U.S. right now, but if it goes well, Google may expand it.
