Google To Ask Webmasters If Google Search Console Should Consolidate Properties Automatically

Google Wires

John Mueller of Google said it again, yes we covered this back in March 2018, that the new Google Search Console may simply consolidate all your properties altogether into one property without having you to verify each one. So instead of having to verify the www, non-www, http, https, apps, directories, etc Google might just auto-consolidate and maybe give you filters in the reports to filter out issues based on those protocols?

John said “we’re currently looking into kind of ways to make that process a little bit easier.” He said they will ask for feedback on if webmasters want or do not want this and then how it might work. He said:

Again, he said this back on February 20th as well, as we covered. But this is the second time he is bringing it up, so they obviously are thinking about this.
