The head of the Google search team, the man who is in charge of every search you do at Google, the man responsible for the Penguin and Panda updates, Amit Singhal overheard a conversation while having coffee at Starbucks about those updates.

The conversation was between a webmaster or SEO and someone else where the webmaster said, he no longer is able to trick Google to rank his sites high in Google since after the Penguin and Panda update.

Amit tweeted this a few hours ago:

So while people blame me for this, in fact – I just spent 8 minutes on the phone with someone cursing at me and on the verge of crying to me about Google’s updates – Amit goes off free. Fine, I’ll take all the blame. 🙂
