Google Social Sitelinks:

As I covered yesterday at Search Engine Land, Google announced they now will add Social Sitelinks to the Sitelinks within the search results, when they find them to be relevant.

Google recommends you search for [twitter] or [youtube] to trigger them. I see them for only a search on twitter:

Language Based Sitelinks:

The second topic is related to Sitelinks. A WebmasterWorld thread has one SEO claiming that for the same site that comes up in different Google localized versions of Google, Google will show different Sitelinks.

For example, if one searches in Google.com and site A comes up, it will show different Sitelinks if someone searches in Google.fr and site A comes up.

The SEO explained:

The issue is, he can’t control the various Sitelinks in Google Webmaster Tools by location or language. He is stuck with them in the other languages.

The thing is, I am pretty sure Google would tailor Sitelinks based on query. So this in itself might not be all that new. Still the same issue applies of controlling Sitelinks in Google Webmaster Tools.
