In June we reported how Google was testing top down navigation. Since then, we didn’t hear much of it until early September when users started seeing it again.

As you can see, Google is also hiding the number of results returned in this user interface.

One user who is now seeing this new interface complained in the Google Web Search Help forums that the results count is missing. But also, Google finally confirmed in the forums that this is indeed a test Google is trying out.
