A week ago, we reported that HTTPS sites can’t work with the Google Trusted Store program because the badge is not HTTPS enabled.

Well, that changed a few days ago. The Google Trusted Stores Team emailed their stores on October 24th that they now have new instructions available for implementing the badge on HTTPS sites. The email read:

The instructions are currently available in this open Google doc page and Brian Shockley, the Owner of ShopBakersNook.com went live with it just days ago. He is full on HTTPS and the badge shows perfectly on his site:

So it is now safe for Google Trusted Stores to switch over to HTTPS and still show their badges.
