On Friday I reported about a lot of chatter and signals of a possible update from Google coming down the pipe.

Well, as of this morning, it seems some are saying their rankings are back to where they were, for better or worse.

The tracking tools are kind of all reporting normal patterns, although many won’t show this chatter until tomorrow anyway.

Patrick Altoft documented a lot of ranking losses for big brands, but I assume by now, most of those returned. Note, SearchMetrics does the analytics weekly, so it could have happened over the 24-48 hours of this Google change, which now reverted itself?
