The image above is of a snippet from a web page that does not have any visible video content on the page. Google’s search results show that there is a video, by displaying a thumbnail image with a play button, but the page itself has no video on it.
The question came up in a hangout with Google’s John Mueller on Google+ at the 3:10 mark. Where John answers that Google is aware of these issues, it is a wide scale issue that the video team is working on to fix the issue.
