Matt McGee noticed that Google Maps has added Street Views to Israel after a long long wait and a lot of controversy.
Israel is very big into security, so having street views was/is a concern for them. But the tourism benefit, outweighs the potential security risks.
I go to Israel once a year to run SMX Israel and to visit family. I also spent a school year there. So scanning through the Street View images brings things back for me.
Everyone knows the Western Wall:
Here is a picture of Geula, one of the most religious sections of Jerusalem. This should be recognized by anyone who visited Israel:
