This month was somewhat typical but we did have a lot of updates to the Google Search Console. We saw the Search Analytics API get 16 months of data, so did the Data Studio later in the month. Google released a new cool URL inspector tool and updated the PageSpeed tool to show origin level data. Google also segmented out how much of your traffic comes from web light results in Google. So a lot happened on the tools end with Google.
Google had some algorithm tweaks earlier and later last month. Google also made some clarifications around the speed update coming this month and mobile-first clarifications.
They shared their success is fighting search spam, while also releasing a new indexing API for job posting URLs. Plus there were a ton of Google Maps and local updates, so check out that section below.
Overall, the current and ongoing WebmasterWorld thread is pretty quiet and I am not seeing any significant signs of any update going on right now.
