Greg Niland, aka goodroi, at WebmasterWorld said “Long Tail Keywords Aint Dead” – well that is half true maybe?

He said in May 2015, Google came out with a stat that 15% of all queries are still new, never seen before by Google. So likely many of those queries are longer than just two words, making it fall within the long tail query realm.

But while searchers are still very likely to search with many keywords, optimizing for it in the days of Google Panda is probably way dead.

Greg knows that, he said:

You simply cannot create web pages with the goal of acquiring search referrals, Panda is about preventing those goals.
