Google Showing Some Europeans Sparse Search Results
A week ago, we shared a screen shot from Google on how the search results may look like if Article 11 and 13 in the EU passes. Well now Google seems to be showing some European searchers these types of ghost empty like search results.

Google: We Know When Domain Names Change Ownership
Aaseesh from the Google Webmaster Trends Analysts team said in a Google Webmaster Help thread that Google understands when a domain name changes ownership. He said if you are buying the domain name to pick up on their rankings, don’t bother.

RankRanger SERP Checker Now Tracks Hotel Pack Data
You all know I am obsessed with tracking the search results (SERPs), not just the core ten blue link changes but also how the other elements come in and out of those search results. Tools like Mozcast and RankRanger, amongst others, also track Google features that are included, like videos, local listings, ads, HTTPS and so much more. Now RankRanger added hotel local packs to the mix.

Google Structured Data Tool Now Showing More Warnings?
Steve Seeley noticed that Google’s Structured Data Tool may have been updated to show even more warnings. He said that on sites he tests on a routine basis, he is now seeing warnings he has never seen before.

Google Test Video Lightbox For Some Videos In Mobile Search Results
Google is testing a video overlay or lightbox feature to play videos in the mobile search results. In the search results captured by Valentin Pletzer on Twitter he showed how instead of being taken to the video landing page, Google shows the video itself in an overlay.

Google’s Sundar Pichai At Fancy European Roundtable
Here is a photo Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, posted on Twitter of him, amongst other leaders from across Central & Eastern Europe at a fancy looking roundtable.
