This week, we reported that technically Google was caught buying links without nofollowing them and no, this was not the first time. Google Image Search removed the view image button and some other features because of their Getty Images legal deal, it led to many searcher complaints. Google BlogSearch Ping feature is dead, which is okay. Google is working on improving timestamps in the search results snippets. Google launched AMP Stories and visual stories in the mobile search results. Google Search Console killed off the new indexed, low interest report. Google is enforcing the request indexing quota but it is confusing. Google launched the people also search for feature in search. We spotted a cool featured snippet interface. Google said if you are launching a new site, go HTTPS. Google Job Schema added telecommuting as an option to the markup. Google is telling some webmasters to cut down on similar content pages to improve their rankings. Google is testing a new shopping carousel ad format in the EU. Google AdSense sent out notices for publishers to verify their addresses and then removed the notice.
