YouTube announced they have extended the upload limits to “videos that are longer than 15 minutes.” They did this for “selected users with a history of complying with the YouTube Community Guidelines.”

How would you know if you are one of those users who have it? YouTube said go to the upload section and it would give you a message. Personally I do not see this, I believe I have had unlimited upload rights for a while now, but some do.

Anyway, I am a weekly publisher on YouTube, so I am glad to see this limit extended. Exactly how much was it extended? Hard to say, folks in the YouTube Help forum said they uploaded a video which was about 2.5 hours. So at least that long.
