Recently, we have been talking a lot about video sitemaps and how important they are becoming in your Google optimization efforts. Here is one more tidbit for you on video sitemaps.

According to Googler, JohnMu, your video sitemaps content should match that of what is found on the destination page. It makes logical sense, but sometimes webmasters don’t always use the same title and description in the video sitemap file that they have on the web page they reference for that file.

Google’s JohnMu said in a Google Webmaster Help thread:

From a quick look at your video Sitemap file, I noticed that your titles and descriptions don’t seem to match up on your pages. In a case like that, it’s sometimes hard for our systems to verify that these are really the pages that you want to have indexed, so it can happen that it takes longer for them to be reviewed. To help speed things up, I’d recommend making sure that the content specified in your Video Sitemap file matches what can be found on the pages.

So if they do not match, it seems like Google has to manually review the sitemap and destination pages to make sure they are legit.
