Google has confirmed a large email phishing attempt on their AdWords customers over the past day or two.

Bindu from the Google AdWords team explained in a Google AdWords Help thread the email going out that is a phishing attempt is titled “We stopped running your Google ads this morning.”

If you received this email, I’d recommend you simply delete it and never look at it again.

Bindu said in the thread:

This email continued to read, “We had encountered a number of issues when reviewing your ads this morning and we stopped running them. We will review them again and make the necessary changes that will allow to run your ads without any problems.” Ignore it and report it to Google.

I should note that Google AdWords phishing attempts are fairly common.
