You’ve already probably heard the news, it is literally everywhere you look, Google, Inc. is now a company of Alphabet, Inc.

Google’s co-founders, Sergey Brin and Larry Page, started a new company named Alphabet, which will act as the parent company of Google and the other brands.

CNN posted a graphic that quickly summarizes the structure of the new company:

The new CEO of Google will be Sundar Pichai who you’ve seen leading the way with Android and Chrome. Larry and Sergey will spend their time managing the larger Alphabet company, which seems what they were doing before anyway. I honestly thought this was an April Fools joke, I had to look at the calendar and see it was August 10th. But no, it is no joke. Wall Street is happy, the stock was up almost 6% in after hours trading on just a company name change.
