Google’s John Mueller said on Twitter that requesting Google to crawl your pages doesn’t negatively impact your rankings and if Google crawls your pages more often, it doesn’t improve your rankings.

The question posed was can it hurt ones rankings by asking Google to crawl a page via Google’s fetch and render tool? John said no, it doesn’t hurt your rankings. He then added also “getting crawled more doesn’t positively change rankings either.”
