This week in search we had yet another big Google algorithm update that seemed more black hat focused which was named the Fred Google Update. Google said that they do weigh different ranking signals differently based on query and searcher. Google AMP is still not a ranking factor. Google said keywords in URLs are overrated. Google’s John Mueller explains why some publishers may not want to link out. Google may drop featured snippets over typos. Google said YouTube embeds may slow down your page speed.
