Video: Google Panda & Penguin, Mobile Friendly, AdWords & More

This week I do the search video a day early, since technically I am completely offline today, Friday April 10th. I cover the monthly Google webmaster report and then get into Google Panda and Penguin. The Penguin and Panda updates are manual still and Panda has not been updated in about six months. Google’s mobile friendly algorithm won’t impact brand searches much. Google replaces the search queries report in Webmaster Tools with the alpha version of search analytics. Google is bolding answers in the search results – hey there Hummingbird. Google’s mobile friendly algorithm will also impact the In The News box, maybe. Google dropped the in depth articles title from the search results. Google may list your old legacy and redirected URLs. Google News fixed the issue with rejected sites not seeing the notice. Google’s keyword planner added benchmark data. Google is launching a new ad platform for home service providers. Then I posted three new polls on Friday, since I was offline. That brighter version of the video was provided by John Lincoln, where I covered this past week in search at the Search Engine Roundtable.
