This week was thankfully not as hectic as the past several weeks, but we did see a new feature officially launch, the more results button in the mobile search results. Google also may be rolling out search refinements for featured snippets. Google Search Console added search appearance filters. Google does check links before moving a site to the mobile-first indexing. Google says RSS feeds do not help you rank better. Google says a 404 Google cache error doesn’t hurt your rankings. Google added more specific errors for job schema. Google is emailing via Search Console about AMP pages and social media issues. Google is testing interesting finds in the mobile search results. Google is testing a new image search interface. Google is testing a mini version of the local pack. Google Chrome is testing showing search suggestions on the start page. Google Analytics added a data retention setting for GDPR purposes. The search community honored Tony Randall, Christian Rudolf, Kristine Schachinger, Fili Wiese and John Lincoln. That was this past week in search at the Search Engine Roundtable.
