Video: Google Algorithm & Ranking Update, Job Listings Penalty & Mobile-First Indexing

This week we saw a long going Google algorithm update that has been ongoing for a few days or so now. Google said job listings that are no longer open that have schema can be penalized. Google said do not make your site unmobile-friendly just to stay away from the mobile-first indexing. Google said sites that are moved to the mobile-first indexing process are done based on technical reasons, not search volume data. A report said featured snippets have been reduced on mobile, replaced by direct answers. Google may replace featured snippets with sponsored how to content? Google cannot judge your site based on pages they have not indexed. Google prefers one stronger page over many weak pages. Google says it is hard to reverse a site redirect but offers advice on how to do it. Google shows two nearby and one further result in the local three pack a study says. Google My Business insights data is missing on Friday the 13th. If your Google Assistant responses fail, it may ask you if you want to use a third party app. The search community honored Pete Watson-Wailes, Gianluca Fiorelli, Tansy O Bryant, Todd Mintz and Michael Kirchhoff.
