Video: Google Penguin Wild, Maps Guidelines Updated & My 11th Anniversary

This week at the Search Engine Roundtable I celebrate the 11th year anniversary of covering search. I start with my monthly Google/Webmaster recap and then move on to Penguin. Google Penguin was very busy over the past week or so, we even saw huge changes this morning – but Google themselves seems confused about it. Google Maps updated their quality guidelines. Google explained the hidden content within tabs and expand all links. Google also explained issues with infinite scroll, once again. Finally, Google once again said responsive design doesn’t rank better. Google also hinted that app indexing may be supported with iOS soon. Google updated the bug with the cache dates. Google Maps short descriptions pull from reviews. Google AdSense is showing icons in ad units. DuckDuckGo added New Jersey Transit schedules. That was this past week in search at the Search Engine Roundtable.
